We at Meaning to Pause® have always believed that thoughts are powerful and are the force behind creating our reality. So, when I came across this article, published at http://www.collective-evolution.com/2017/10/30/if-your-thoughts-intentions-can-do-this-to-an-apple-imagine-what-they-can-do-to-your-body/ by ALANNA KETLER, I had to share it with my readers.
“We’ve heard it before: our thoughts are powerful. Maybe we’ve even heard that our thoughts are actually creating our reality. But it’s one thing to hear or learn this concept and a completely other to fully grasp what it means and apply it to our lives. Our thoughts create our reality? How so?
This concept was first introduced to me in a documentary, What The Bleep Do We Know? This film explores how matter is not really solid in the way we have been led to believe and our perception of it actually has the ability to change it. The infamous “Secret Life Of Water,” experiment and book by Masaru Emoto is referenced, as well as a powerful reminder of what our thoughts are truly capable of. Essentially, this experiment involved focusing intention into different containers of water. For example, one was “love,” another was “thank you,” “harmony,” while on the other spectrum, “I hate you I wish you were dead.”
The water molecules from each category were then observed under a microscope. The molecules that were infused with the loving, positive intentions had beautiful, geometric patterns, similar to snowflakes. The other molecules, that were infused with the more negative thoughts and intentions, showed up as chaotic looking, and not in alignment like the others.
This experiment served as a powerful reminder that if thoughts can do this to water, what are they doing to us?”
Take a look at a clip from the film below, and if you get the chance I highly recommend checking out the whole documentary!”
Alanna also writes about a Facebook post sharing a similar experience with an apple:
“The following Facebook post is a similar experiment that was conducted on two halves of the same apple. The same amount of time has elapsed, the only difference between each half was that one was in the presence of art, creativity, meditation, love and gratitude and the other was exposed to blame, judgment hatred, heavy metal music and mainstream news, and thus fear. The experiment was done by someone who was just curious and gave it a try, anyone can do this at home and see for themselves that this is real — these results are remarkable, and the experiment speaks for itself, have a look.”
So, What Is the Take-Away?
Both experiments demonstrate that everything we say, think, and do can have a huge effect on not only our reality, but also on our physical body and the environment around us. Thoughts make a huge difference. The question is: Are you allowing your mind to engage in negative thinking? Are you practicing gratitude and mindfulness in your life or are you playing the part of the victim?
Problem is, most of us are too busy to stop and reframe our thought and practice gratitude and mindfulness. And, as we can see via the experiment above, it is a lot more than just your thoughts that play a role here. We can clearly see that practices such as meditation, dancing, and creative expression kept the apple healthy, while negative influences were contributing factors to the rotting process of the apple. This begs the question: If thoughts and actions can do this to an apple, what are they doing to you?”
